Gelateria Sottozero (come attirare una persona: me!)

Io ho una regola, quando studio una nuova gelateria parto sempre da due gusti: Stracciatella e un gusto strano (magari il gusto del mese). Il primo perchè è il mio gusto preferito, quindi mi deve conquistare. Il secondo perchè essendo un'incognita se non è notevole, dopo due leccate, mi stanca/disgusta.
La mia teoria è che solo provando tutte le Stracciatelle del mondo mi sarà possibile trovare la gelateria perfetta, quella da amare per sempre e dove depositare direttamente lo stipendio!
Di solito mi faccio anche accompagnare da un talebano del Pistacchio, così assaggio pure quello e il quadro è completo.
Ora, è da un mesetto che compro vaschette da mezzo kg di gusti Stracciatella/Pistacchio della gelateria Sottozero per dire a tutto il mondo quanto mi garba il loro gelato, possibilmente accompanando le mie esternazioni con tanto di foto di rito (come i gastrofanatici  seri dei Blog seri)..ma ..NIENTE.
Il gelato (misteriosamente) finisce prima che io sia riuscita a scattare la foto!!
Così, ieri sera, è scattata la Missione Impossibile: fare una foto prima di mangiare il gelato.
Direttamente sul luogo, onde non cadere nella tentazione di dire "Vabbè, dai, lo ricompro un'altro giorno per la foto".
Ok, ok, è vero io sono una golosa, ma non sono una golosa indifferenziata (Regola n.1: "Per ingrassare deve valerne la pena!").
E' che questo gelato è veramente delizioso.
E' buono così, sul cono, da lecca, senza fronzoli e senza ostentazioni esotiche.
E' buono nella sua semplicità.
Al punto da farmi uscire di casa (con l'auto!!!) e andarci apposta.
(ed è anche accurata negli arredi per cui è piacevole fermarsi a gustare il cono seduti sulla panchina interna ):

Secondo me, regge bene il confronto con il gotha delle gelaterie bresciane più rinomate. Infatti, sebbene non sia ancora uno dei posti "abitudinari" dei bresciani, forse per la sua collocazione, appena fuori dalla città, credo lo diventerà in breve tempo.
Nel frattempo io mi godo la mia "scoperta" portandoci nuove persone che ne escono sorridenti (ScusaPronta n.52 per autogiustificarmi un gelato!).

Per essere perfetta, PER ME, manca solo un dettaglio...ecco...dovrebbero mettere la cioccolata con il "Sistema dei pezzi giganti", aggiungendo, così, quel brivido di attesa del sapere se nel cono è capitato un pezzettone di fondente e..ovvio...DEVE capitare! (goduria immensa e totale).

Gelateria Sottozero: how to attract a person: me!

I have a rule, when I study a new ice-cream I always start with two flavors: Stracciatella and a strange taste (maybe the flavor of the month). The first because it's my favourite flavor, so I must be conquered by. The second, because being unknown, if not remarkable, after two licking, makes me tired / sick.
My theory is that just by trying all the Stracciatella flavors of the world I will be able to find the perfect  ice-cream parlor, the one to fall in love forever and where to deposit my salary directly!
Usually I'm accompanied by a taliban of Pistacchio flavour, so I can taste also this one and  the picture is complete.
Now, it is a month or so that I buy a half a kilo's bowl of Stracciatella /Pistacchio  flavours from the Sottozero ice-cream parlor, to tell the whole world how much I like their ice cream, possibly following my utterances with a lot of the ritual pictures (such as the serious foodies of the serious FoodBlog) ... but .. NOTHING.
The ice-cream (mysteriously) ends before I was able to take a picture!
So, last night, began the Mission Impossible: take a picture before eating ice-cream.
Directly on the site, so as not to fall into the temptation to say "Oh well, I can buy it again another day for the photo". Ok, ok, it's true, I am a greedy, but I'm not an undifferentiated greedy  (Rule n. 1: "If I will get fat it must be worth it!").
Is that this ice-cream is really delicious.
It 's good thus, on the cone, by licking, with no frills and exotic topping.
It 's good in its simplicity.
It's so good that I leave the house (by car!) and go there on purpose.
(and the shop is also accurate in the furniture so is nice to stop and enjoy the cone on the bench inside).
In my opinion, this place handle comparison well with the elite of the most famous ice-cream shops in Brescia. In fact, although it isn't still one of the "habit" of Brescia's people, perhaps because of its location just outside the city, I think it will become in a short time.
In the meantime I enjoy my "discovery" bringing there new people who come out smiling (ReadyExcuse n. 52 of self-justifying for an another ice cream!)
To be perfect, FOR ME, just missing a detail ... well ... they should put the chocolate with the "System of giant pieces," adding, thus, the thrill of waiting to know if it would happened one giant in a cone and .. of course ... it should MUST happen! (immense and total pleasure).

Contest: Summer Is Possi

In un normale sabato estivo, dopo due formaggi fusi con polenta, un pollo alla griglia, due spiedini, tre birre,  patatine fritte e un atmosfera collettiva da "sandalo coi calzini", l'unica cosa sensata che restava da fare era andare in gelateria!
A Brescia quando voglio sedermi con gli amici ad un tavolino, stare comoda e, magari, concedermi una di quelle coppone “10.000 calorie” con tanto di ombrellino, cialde e "dieta mia vattene via", allora vado da Possi.
Quel giorno, in particolare, su ogni tavolo c’era un cartellino con sopra questo:

ovvero un invito a fotografare il proprio gelato, postare la foto su Facebook e farla votare dagli amici.
In palio, per il primo classificato, c’era la possibilità di creare una coppa di gelato personalizzata e sceglierle un nome.
Mi si sono illuminati gli occhi a stellina! Io VOLEVO creare, assolutamente, un MIO gelato e dargli un nome!
Ho fatto la foto al mio gelatino con il mio cellulare "punti Esselunga" e con questa foto ho tartassato per giorni e giorni gli amici su Faccialibro perché mi votassero (a proposito GRAZIE a tutti di avermi sopportato e supportato!):

Sono arrivata seconda.
Ma non importa, è stato ugualmente carino partecipare.
Primo perchè tanto, oramai, l’idea malsana di creare il mio gelato si è insinuata in me e, poiché posseggo una gelatiera, è solo questione di giorni!
Secondo perchè anche alla seconda classificata, Possi ha riservato un bel regalo che sono andata a ritirare in buona compagnia (potevo mai perdermi l’occasione di spaciugare?!? MAI!).

Possi è una gelateria che esiste da che ne ho memoria storica, ma solo recentemente ha saputo rinnovarsi sia esteticamente che qualitativamente: oggi è un locale accogliente e fresco, con proposte variegate, adatte a soddisfare anche  esigenze particolari come quelle Veg o dei celiaci.
Vengono proposti gusti tradizionali, senza una particolare attenzione alla stagionalità ma con un'ottica di qualità che permette di gustare un gelato sempre piacevole.
La vera forza della gelateria, sono le coppe-giganti: da Possi bisogna sedersi al tavolino ed esagerare; con le classiche, “Affogato al caffè”, “Banana Split”, “Spaghetti di gelato”, “After Eight” (gettonatissima!) ma anche con quelle meno convenzionali, come le “crepe con gelato” o i “waffel con Nutella e gelato”.
Il mio "assaggino" della foto sopra è un waffel senza nutella ma con gelato e panna, che oltre ad essere gigante era sofficissimo, veramente spaziale! Anzi, se ci penso, mi viene un languorino...

Contest: Summer Is Possi

In a normal summer's saturday after had two polenta with melted cheese, a grilled chicken, two skewers, three beers, fries and with a collective atmosphere as "socks with sandals", the only reasonable thing left to do was going to the ice-cream shop !
In Brescia, when I want to sit at a table with friends, being comfortable and, perhaps, allow myself one of those ice-cream bowls "10,000 calories" with topping, wafer and "my diet go away," then I go to Possi.
That day, in particular, on each table was a card with this on:

that is an invitation to photograph one's ice cream, post the photo on Facebook and ask friends to vote it.
Up for grabs for the first place there was the possibility of creating an ice-cream's cup customized and choose a name for it.
My eyes has lit up like stars in the sky! I WANTED to create, absolutely, MY ice-cream and give it a name!
I took the picture of my little ice-cream cup with my smartphone "Esselunga's points" (N.D.R. Esselunga is a supermarket, and I bought my smartphone with the points collected by shopping there) and with this picture I bothered my friends for days on Facebook because I wanted that they voted (by the way BIG THANKS to all!!)

I came second.
But no matter, it was nice also to attend.
First, because by now, the unhealthy idea of creating my customized ice-cream bowl  has crept into me and, since I own an ice-cream maker, it is only a matter of days!
Second, because even to the picture which arrived at second place Possi has reserved a nice gift; I went to withdraw it in good company (Could I ever miss the opportunity of "snacking"?!? NEVER!).

Possi  is an ice-cream parlour from historical memory that I have, but only recently has been able to renew both visually and qualitatively: today is a cozy and cool shop, with varied proposals, adapted to meet special needs such as those of celiac or Veg.
They offer traditional flavours, without putting particular attention to the seasonality of ingredients but with a view to quality that allows to enjoy an ice-cream that is always pleasant.
The real strength of  Possi are the bowls: here you have to sit at a table and exaggerate; with the classic: "Iced Coffee", "Banana Split", "Spaghetti ice-cream", "After Eight" (very sough-after!) but also with those less conventional, such as: "crepe with ice-cream" or "waffle with Nutella and ice-cream."
My "little taste" of the picture above is a waffle with ice-cream, without Nutella but with cream; as well as being giant it was spongy, really out of this world! Indeed, if I think about it now, it makes me craving.
